Production of some growth promoters from some algae and bacteria

The book is useful introductory text for production of growth promoters. Rhizospheric soil can provide a rich source of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria and cyanobacteria that have the ability to produce a significant amount of plant growth promoter substances. The demand of PGPR biofertilizers has been increasing day by day with increase in the importance of organic agriculture with minimum inputs of chemicals. PGPR and cyanobacteria holds promise as more eco-friendly and sustainable tools in agriculture and also has been found promising not only in maintaining and in sustaining high productivity but in providing stability to crop of rice and wheat production and minimize the cost of inputs and environmental pollution.

Rawheya A Salah El Din lives in Cairo Egypt. Her MSc and PhD (joint supervision program, USA) from Al Azhar Univ. in 1988 and 1994. She holds memberships in Egyptian Phycological Society (Establish Member and Secretary of The Egyptian Journal of Phycology).She has published more than 40 j.articles and participated in two scientific national reports
