Globalisierung und Entstaatlichung des Rechts

The "denationalization of the law" is one of the great challenges for legal scholarship today: the government as a traditional law-maker is being replaced, in an increasing number of fields, by private law-making agencies. The branches affected by this development include contract and corporate law, new areas such as sports law and Internet law, and international problems of regulation with which national legislators cannot adequately cope. The contributions to the present volume deal with the resulting problems. They are based on lectures presented to a joint meeting of the working groups for basic research, comparative private law as well as comparative commercial and business law of the Society for Comparative Law in Halle in September 2007.
